PBS Kids

I'm a slightly reformed TV-Nazi when it comes to kids, and have grown to love PBS children's programming. Although I have yet to introduce Jonas to the world of computer games for fear of melting his brain and/or my hard drive, this is a PBS site and couldn't be that bad, right?

All kidding aside, this site is lots of fun. It has music, educational games, and coloring pages based on Sesame Street, It's A Big Big World, Reading Rainbow, Caillou, and all your other PBS favorites. At the bottom of the main page, you will also find links to PBS Parents and PBS Teacher Source. Good times.

You're right... too much TV (or computer use) is a bad thing, but there's nothing wrong with a little PBS! Sadly, if I'm home sick, I'll flip through the channels and, I swear, there's nothing worth watching but PBS Kids (even when there are no kids around)! Their website is a nice, natural extension of their shows. When your little guy is a bit older, or when he begins showing interest in letters, I'd also recommend www.starfall.com
These are the two main websites that the kids can go on at our house and they love them.
